After just recently posting about my post-Holy Week meat cravings—Jollibee Crunchy Chicken Sandwich and Chickenjoy—we now all have something new to try and crave from our favorite Pinoy fast food chain: Jollibee Chicken Nuggets! Jollibee unveiled its newest product just last week, right after Holy Week too!

What they dubbed the “Crispy, Juicy, Chicken On-The-Go” is a welcome addition to Jollibee’s well-loved menu as a convenient treat when you want something quick and satisfying. As a mom, I’m especially thrilled to know that Jollibee now has chicken nuggets because my daughter loves them and they’re so easy to eat anywhere—even in the car when we drive-thru!

We recently got the chance to try them, and we got three orders so we can try all three dips (each order comes with one dip): BBQ Ketchup, Ranch, and Sriracha Mayo. In fact, each of us have our own favorite dips: Ranch for me (because it’s so creamy, it’s almost cheesy, with a nice herby touch, and they didn’t go heavy on the ranch acidity); BBQ Ketchup for my daughter, who always enjoys having barbecue sauce with her nuggets; and Sriracha Mayo for my husband, who’s fond of anything spicy—especially if it has Sriracha. This was actually my second favorite, especially because they didn’t shy away from the heat—it’s legit (or maybe it’s just my lightweight palate when it comes to spicy food). The BBQ Ketchup tastes exactly as it sounds: barbecue sauce mixed with ketchup.

And as for the nuggets themselves, you’ll find there’s a subtle crunch on the skin that you won’t find on other fast food chicken nuggets, giving it that satisfying texture in each bite. Crispiness has definitely become a Jollibee signature for its chicken. Yet inside, it’s juicy, succulent, and flavorful. Mas malasa ito compared to other fast food chicken nuggets that you know. I could definitely eat more than the six pieces that came in my order. (Maybe I should just get the 10-piece order for myself next time, haha.)

Jollibee Chicken Nuggets is great for snacking or if you just want a light lunch or dinner on the go. I like its convenient and sturdy packaging, perfect for eating even in the car—I can even place it on cup holders.
