I love to multitask, so I also love products that can multitask, especially when it comes to makeup and skincare. I like skincare that addresses various skin concerns and simplifies my routine without depriving me of what my skin needs. I like makeup that covers up what I want hidden, enhances what I want to flaunt, all while infusing my skin with ingredients that it needs to look healthier and more beautiful. So yes, I like beauty brands that can effectively integrate skincare and quality makeup.

One of the brands that found a way to integrate skincare that stimulates and supports the skin’s natural restorative functions with a base makeup line—just what we need—is Japanese brand Koh Gen Do. Available in several countries including USA, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, and of course the Philippines, Koh Gen Do’s integrated skincare and makeup are loved by women the world over. Even A-list Hollywood celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Blake Lively, and Jessica Alba use and swear by its products.

I’ve been using Koh Gen Do’s makeup products since it was first introduced in the Philippines, and my favorites include the Moisture Foundation that leaves a nice, smooth finish; the Moisture Concealer that effectively covers dark spots and dark circles under my eyes; and the translucent Face Powder to set my makeup and make it last longer. This gentle “water” makeup remover doesn’t require rinsing; all you need is to moderately saturate a cotton pad with it—I love its super nifty pump!—and gently swipe on skin to effectively remove dirt, excess oil, and other impurities, even waterproof makeup.
