Ironically, I’M missing Wanderland Festival on March 9-10 because I’m staying put in Iloilo after an almost two-week travel spree that had me traipsing all over the country from Tagaytay to Boracay to Cavite and back to Manila. But, I wouldn’t want YOU to feel FOMO as I currently do, so make sure you head over to the Filinvest City Open Grounds in Alabang, Muntinlupa City this weekend for Globe Telecom and Karpos Multimedia’s annual music and arts festival.

Wanderland 2019

There are so many things to look forward to in its seventh installment:

Wanderland is now a 2-day affair, offering the #WanderlandCommunity two straight days to see and experience their favorite international and homegrown acts perform their hits.

Hear your favorite songs on Spotify performed live right in front of you, as this festival showcases yet another unique set of performers this year. The Wanderland community can gear up for another great set as both local and international acts make their respective debuts and return to the Wanderland stage. International talents like indie rock bands Two Door Cinema Club and The Kooks, Jamaican-American rapper Masego, British EDM artist SG Lewis, and electronic duo Honne, along with homegrown acts such as Sandwich, Unique, Reese Lansangan, and Clara Benin will grace the stage.

If you’ll remember (I certainly do!), Wanderland Planet 2016 had local music fans singing along to Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver, and The Naked and Famous (thankfully, I was able to attend this because I love The Naked and Famous!). Wanderland Jungle 2017 brought the anthemic music of Australian indie rock band Temper Trap and the electro-pop beats of Ting Tings. Last year’s edition, Wanderland Pixels 2018, featured Kodaline, Jhene Aiko, FKJ, Daniel Caesar, and Lauv.

Be inspired by live art installations

Apart from the rich musical experience, expect more inspiration as local street artists unleash their creative talents with their world-class live art installations and graffiti. This year, Wanderartist winners Venazir Martinez, Frances Dandan, Raco Ruiz, and Josh Panaligan are set to perform live art that’s sure to mesmerize concertgoers.

Wanderland Magic

Enjoy a wide selection of exciting booths and activities

With this year’s Magic theme, watch for an interesting set of exciting booths and activities. Make sure to bring some dough and your bags as you’ll surely bring home a lot of goodies!

To make Wanderland a magical experience for everyone, be sure to observe proper festival etiquette. Smoke in designated areas only, throw and segregate your trash properly, don’t bring any illegal drugs or pills, and keep track of the performance schedules.

Available 2-Day Passes for March 9-10 are priced at P7,000+ for Regular Wanderer (available at SM Ticket outlets) and P10,000+ for Star Wanderer (VIP, exclusively available at wanderlandfestival.com), both exclusive of service charge. Haven’t got your tickets yet? Visit globe.com.ph to learn more.
